Description of Contadora Island:
• The island is located in the Pacific Ocean, 34 nautical miles from Panama City and can be easily reached by plane or ferry. In an area of 1.39 km², Contadora is home to nine beaches and has large areas of tropical jungle. Crystal clear and turquoise waters, white sand beaches and palm trees.
• This is a perfect place to snorkel or dive and come face to face with these wonderful creatures. In the months of August to October, humpback whales visit Panama and Contadora is the perfect place to see them up close.
• You can also watch dolphins throughout the year. But it's not just the sea that is teeming with animal life, the island itself is home to a wide variety of wildlife. Iguanas, deer and sloths are just some of the island's inhabitants.
