The strong Clayton was an American military base located in areas of the former Panama Canal Zone. This military base was located northwest of the city of Balboa, near the Panama Canal. It was closed in 1999 in compliance with the Torrijos-Carter Treaties. Currently, several residential areas, schools and the City of Knowledge headquarters are located in this area.
