Business Operations

Since purchasing the property, it has been run as an accommodation business primarily through Airbnb and for a brief time through Booking.com. Due to limited capacity to track bookings while working abroad, the decision was made to primarily use Airbnb.

Airbnb accounted for 60% of our bookings. The remaining 40% was made up of walk-ins (25%) and bookings via our Instagram and Facebook accounts (15%). It’s important to note that the property was occupied by friends or family for 2 months of the year, so it was not available for rent during that time.
